Prior to joining Gemi Investments, Hamish established and managed the Indigenous Real Estate Investment Trust on behalf of Indigenous Business Australia a Commonwealth Statutory Authority. During Hamish’s tenure, he was responsible for all aspects of the running of the Fund.
Prior to establishing the Fund Hamish spent in excess of 20 years in finance focused on property. At Westpac, Hamish initially ran a portfolio of loans to middle market property investors and developers, eventually assuming responsibility for Westpac’s Tourism & Hotels portfolio in the Investment Banking Division. At ANZ, Hamish was responsible for the ANZ’s exposure to Corporate and Institutional Property clients across NSW. Hamish also spent 7 years with non-bank lender Ashe Morgan where he was Head of Risk & Compliance.
Hamish began his banking career working for NAB in their Trade Finance and Foreign Currency Loans division before joining in the Italian merchant bank Monte Paschi Australia where he worked in their Commercial Lending division.
