Gemi has been operating as a non-bank lender since before 2000 and has raised in excess of $3 billion of capital.
We focus on senior debt opportunities secured by Australian real estate. Our investment process is disciplined and structured around strict risk and performance standards.
Our investors include some of the most successful individuals and families in Australia. The principals of Gemi are substantial investors across Gemi’s loans and often lend in a subordinated position to Gemi’s investors on the basis that the principals’ capital is only repaid from a transaction after the investors have been repaid.
The Gemi First Mortgage Fund was established in November 2021 to provide investors with access to Gemi’s investment strategy via a diversified portfolio of short-term loans that are secured by first mortgage security over property in Australian & New Zealand.
The Fund targets a net investment return (i.e. after costs) of 9.0% per annum via monthly cash distributions, and benefits from a $5 million first loss investment from Gemi, which underpins a strong alignment of interests between investors and Gemi. For more information, click here.
All loans are approved by Gemi’s Investment Committee and Credit Committee following a rigorous due diligence and credit approval process.
